About me

Having taught students from many different backgrounds for over 20 years, I am confident in supporting students to achieve great results. I believe that learning is collaborative and must be reflective.

knowledge down into manageable pieces is essential with lots of opportunities to practice new skills being given.

Mathematics is about solving problems, being logical, being precise, spotting patterns and understanding the how and why something works, rather than just learning "tricks" off by heart. Linking new knowledge to ideas that we are already confident with and understanding that all the different elements of maths are linked, are also essential elements of learning. My lessons will always allow for these things to happen.
