My lessons would be online using google meets or zoom (whichever is best for the student). I’d target areas the student struggles in to later go over if I feel or they feel they’re falling behind following there school’s curriculum. To help do this I would let the student give me a list of struggles or anything they need to go over so I can help them to solidify and be confident with it for there next class. I’d help teach with flashy methods to keep the student interested as they will be younger, for example flash cards or buzz words. If they struggle with things like spelling I would set a list of 5 words for them to read, cover and re write (after learning) so they obtain the correct way of spelling. If they struggle with a specific word I would go over it and give them the same word for the following week. I can also help to better there handwriting by having sheets of dotted words for them to connect and other simple yet efficient methods like this one. I would send these sheets to the parent/carer to print out.
