I have experience tutoring secondary age school children and GCSE students in English (literature and language) and Maths. I tutored students that had a hard time focusing, and we worked on techniques to help them concentrate for longer periods of time. This eventually helped them in their school time, helping them teach full potential.

During my GCSEs I achieved grade 9 in both English subjects, 8 in Maths, and a 7 in further maths.

The sessions would be online over zoom and prior to the session we can discuss what needs work so I can have resources ready.

During the session (30mins or 1hr) we will start by going through pieces of schoolwork or particular concepts that the student struggles with. Then we will work through this with the resources I have gathered, or we can work through a piece of homework or coursework together and I can provide tips on how the student can complete it themselves. Alternatively, I can adapt the session to better suit needs. At the end we will summarise what has been learnt and I will suggest extra reading or assign work to review in the next session.

The content would be adapted per course and exam board. Resources will be taken from academic sites so that student will be familiar with the content.

At the end of each session, students should feel accomplished in what they know, and be clear on what they have to work on. In between sessions I will regularly check emails and messages in case extra help is needed.
