As a university student at Durham, I maintain an enhanced knowledge of both the GCSE and A-Level courses, understanding the specifications and the typical questions that tend to appear.
In my lessons, I follow a structured format that includes a quick exercise to review the previous lesson’s work, an overview introducing a new topic, and walkthroughs of a few past paper questions. We then practice with past paper questions and specific topics, along with targeted exam tips.
I have mentored students one-on-one across all grade levels at GCSE and A-Level. Having been in the same position as my students, I offer informed advice, understanding their situation and possible struggles. My focus is on building a solid understanding of fundamental concepts and applying traditional techniques to solve typical questions. I emphasize practice over memorization, enhancing exam technique through consistent use of past paper questions.
Lessons are interactive and tailored to each student’s needs, ensuring a dynamic and engaging learning experience. Each lesson includes an explanation of why we are learning the material and how it can be applied, making the content interesting and useful rather than pointless and boring.
All lessons are conducted online and recorded, allowing students to rewatch parts they found challenging or misunderstood. Lessons are centered around the topics the student finds particularly difficult, rather than providing a whole course overview, depending on their specific needs and year group.
