With my Skills, experience and knowledge I feel I meet the requirements to help and teach others well. I have vast experience working with Children, young people, young adults and adults. I have worked within educational and home environments with young children and their families, so all age ranges. My experience with children comes from my support position from a previous job role, where I worked with children that endured behavioural and learning disabilities as well as physical ones. I helped school staff adapt and tailor their educational journey within what worked for them and what did not, how they learnt, what they found easier to understand and so on. I have also had to be a comfort factor to surrounding family members which have found their circumstances difficult and testing and at times felt lost. I have had to be a helping hand and at times a soundboard for parents or siblings to talk to about their struggles and difficulties. I also liaised with doctors, social workers and other professional bodies to ensure that the individual had the best access to any services and help they were entitled and could benefit from. From a Counselling view, I have obtained my Level 4 Diploma in Counselling and CBT and have been registered with ACCPH (a membership for Counsellors, therapist) and have also gained experience and hours from 12 months of working within a residential housing environment. Whilst I was there I had the privilege of working with young adults and families which had experiences of trauma, abuse and family conflicts. I also worked with individuals one to one and provided them with supervised sessions. I would work with these individuals and then once a month liaise with their family members for them to gain better understanding and hold mediations for conflict to be resolved. I feel that I have a deep rooted passion for caring for others and always wanting to help. I care for children and their young innocent minds and how they can thrive and grow, but also care for adults who find it hard to speak up or find the right words and sometimes need an external individual to help resolve the conflict they find themselves in or facing. I have held group talks with young adults and family members and been under Clinical Supervision whilst I have done this to ensure I have demonstrated the right approach and explored the correct areas within one to one and group sessions that needed to be delved into. With all my experience and knowledge i have gained through many different experiences i can offer guidance and help with work, studies, courses etc to help and assist with queries or concerns with the understanding of mental health, counselling or any other topics within this area that someone may feel they need help in. I can conduct online help or in person depending on circumstances, and provide materials e.g. books, online journals, books etc for assignments, tests or coursework to help.
