I have experience with tutoring before as I previously was a mathematics tutor at my school for 2 years. My method of teaching is focusing primarily on what the students find most difficult and producing notes on what the students would need to know. For chemistry, I would take the time to produce notes on necessary areas and in our lessons I will focus on explaining difficult concepts and then working on questions which I would also suggest the students do in their own time to ensure understanding. Chemistry is not just about knowing the content but also about answering the questions the way the mark-scheme wants so in the lessons I would also show mark-schemes which are often very similar as Chemistry doesn’t normally vary too much regarding the style of questions.
