Hello! I'm Tatiana and I’m a second year BSc Psychology student at the University of Sussex with a strong background in science and Psychology. I am fascinated by the way the mind works and how it influences every aspect of our lives.

I’ve always been passionate about advocating for mental health, particularly in children, and I am working towards a career in this field.

Prior to the first session I will make sure to look through your child's exam specification to create a general structure for the lessons. All the lessons are tailored to your child’s specific academic needs based on the assessment, which will identify any topics they are finding tricky. We will go through practice questions together in preparation for any assignments or exams they have, before setting some tasks to complete on their own. I will make sure the teaching style of lessons matches your child's learning style, for example if they are a visual learner we will use videos and diagrams in lessons. I intend to make lessons fun and engaging and will always ensure that your child leaves their lessons feeling motivated to learn and to reach their full potential.

As a child myself in school who often felt like I was being left behind by my classmates and/or not progressing as quickly as my peers, I know from experience how difficult school can be, and I am here to offer a helping hand no matter what your child's age, stage or ability is.

I hosted tutoring sessions for KS3 students during lunchtimes when I was in Sixth Form in Science, French, English, Geography and Drama, and I have done some tutoring virtually over the last year during the pandemic with children ranging from age 5 to age 16. I love sharing my knowledge and helping others to understand difficult concepts. I am particularly patient and have lots of experience mentoring children, being the oldest of many in my family.

I have quite a bit of experience with tutoring children; I coached my little cousin through his 11+ examinations during 2020 and 2021, and I have biweekly sessions with him now that he is in secondary school to help him with subjects he is finding particularly challenging.
