I have experience mainly teaching children between the ages of 4-10, however I've also supported adults that are beginning to learn the English language.
I'm a friendly, bubbly person who loves to spend time with her family and friends. I speak a bit of Welsh (A grade GCSE) and I also play piano. I love going to concerts and gigs.
When supporting people with learning the English language, my teaching methods vary depending on the individual. I do my very best to support students the way that will work best for them.
I take these things into consideration when preparing lessons too. For example, if I'm working with someone who works better with written notes and sheets of paper, I know to prepare work that involves them writing down content. Another example is, if I'm working with someone who prefers oral teaching rather than written, I'll plan sessions where the majority of time is spent communicating orally rather than written work.
I am very patient and have no issue whatsoever repeating myself whenever needed. I fully encourage students to ask lots of questions and to get the absolute most out of our sessions. I want them to learn but also enjoy the sessions too.
I accept and greatly appreciate any feedback, positive or negative. If any changes need to be made, I'll make them. If there's something I do that works well, I'll continue doing that.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope to hear from you soon!
Tasha.
