Hello!

My name is Tara. I'm from Oxford but now I live in Bournemouth. I moved here because I love the sea, and I studied at Bournemouth University. I have an Undergraduate degree in Psychology, and a Master's degree in Clinical and Developmental Neuropsychology. I have a CELTA grade A teaching qualification.

I have 5 years experience teaching. I have taught in Oxford, Bournemouth, Spain and online. I have taught students from 5 years old to 68 years old, so I am happy to teach all ages! I have also taught every level from A1 complete beginner to C2 advanced. I can teach General English, Conversational English, Business English, and Cambridge and IELTs exam classes.

I will always start a lesson with some conversation questions. Then we will look at some target language, and either read or listen to content to practise that language. Sometimes we will work on presentations or writing, and sometimes we will focus on grammar or exam skills. The choice is yours!

We can choose a curriculum together, and change the plan if you have new preferences. For example, if you decide you want to do a Cambridge exam we will practise the exam format and do a lot of speaking. Or, if you need to improve your business English to find a job, we will focus on your CV and interview skills, and learn corporate language.

We are a team! I want you to feel confident and happy with your learning, so I will do everything I can to help you by using my knowledge of teaching and the English language.
