Tara in a nutshell
In my 1:1 therapeutic sessions I draw on a wide variety of practices: myofascial release (MFR), yin & restorative yoga, functional yoga, Hatha vinyasa, breathwork and meditation. Having such a wide range of tools to draw upon, I am able to meet the individual where they are at, on the day. I have studied the spine, shoulder and hip in-depth so I'm well trained to deal with injuries/ dysfunctions in these regions. I'm also a specialist in yoga for female health and so can help with a variety of conditions such as endometriosis, PCOS and fertility.

Sessions will be 60 mins or 90 mins in length. When working therapeutically, the first session involves an evaluation to provide me with a detailed understanding of your chief complaint. From all the information I have gathered in this initial consultation, I will then devise a tailored yoga plan going forwards.

Having practiced since the age of 15, yoga has played a big role in my life from adolescence through to adulthood. The stress and pressure from school exams is what originally led me to yoga and over the years I have practiced various styles including: Hatha, Ashtanga and Iyengar. It was Vinyasa which particularly resonated, appreciating the adaptability, creativity and meditative qualities of the practice. I completed my foundational 200hr Vinyasa Teacher Training (with Carol Murphy) in 2016, alongside my Yin Yoga Teacher Training (with Josh Summers).

I have now been teaching for 8 years. I am deeply committed and dedicated to furthering my knowledge through participating in annual teacher trainings with my belief that learning is a life long journey. As a result, both my personal practice and teaching continually evolves, and I stay abreast of current and up-to-date research, particularly with regards to the therapeutic benefits of yoga. In 2023 I completed my 500hr Advanced Yoga Teacher Training to become a Registered Yoga Medicine Therapeutic Specialist. I am also an E-RYT (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher) with Yoga Alliance Professionals.
