In the past I’ve tutored several kids from the ages from 7-11 to help them prepare for the 11plus. In my lessons I will always motivate and push my students to do the best they can and will always support them in whatever way they need. I believe checking your knowledge and making sure the student understand the concept is very important so I will always have end of topic assessments or small quizzes to consolidate their knowledge and understand what else they might need to work on. I will regularly hand out around 30-45 mins of homework which allows them to go over the work covered in the lesson but also leaves them a considerate amount of time to go over any topic they might want to practice or other school work. The students needs and wants will always be first priority therefore meaning I will take in mind any of their suggestions or a certain idea to make my lessons or their progress better.Lastly feedback is will always be provided to parents so they’re also part of the journey and understand where their child is and how much progress has been made and what else they can do to help.
