I have 4 years of tutoring experience in mathematics, I’ve taught students of different ages and differently levels including children with mental difficulties such as autism and ADHD.

I teach differently with each child as each child deserves a teacher that listens to their needs and helps them achieve their goals in a way that makes them feel good. I love using online educational games and creating games to use as well as a lot of visual items to help children envision it when they need to go back to the basics. I do not give homework as such however if they can’t get through the set of question during class time I tell them to finish it for the next class.

I never negatively mark work, I would look over the work with the child and help them figure out what went wrong and how to make sure it doesn’t happen again. I also provide online notes for them to be able to look back on so they can revise and focus and retain the information.

I would communicate with parents as well, I will always send you an email with what we learnt in class and a rundown of how they did and if they might need some help to finish off their work. But before we even get started I’d ask you if there is anything that you’d want me to be teaching your child specifically or any areas that I should focus on specifically with the child.

Communicating with parents is just as important to me as communicating with the students!
