Hello and welcome! My name is Tamika Carter, and I’m a passionate and patient tutor with years of experience supporting learners from a variety of backgrounds, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). I specialise in teaching English, Maths, Science and ESOL, helping students of all ages and abilities build confidence, improve their skills, and achieve their goals.

My lessons are friendly, engaging, and tailored to each individual’s needs. I believe that everyone learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit you. Whether you're preparing for exams, trying to improve your everyday reading, writing, or numeracy, or learning English as a second language, I’m here to help.

Each session usually begins with a short review of previous learning, followed by interactive activities, discussions, and real-life practice tasks to help reinforce the topic. I use a range of resources including worksheets, visual aids, online tools, and practical examples to keep things fresh and fun. From fun science experiments to physical education. We finish with a short recap to check understanding and build confidence.

With my background in teaching and SEN support, I’m able to break down complex ideas into simple steps, offering encouragement and patience along the way. I take pride in creating a supportive learning environment where students feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow.
