As well as having an A grade in Maths and a B in further maths A level, I was a "peer tutor" at my college, which allowed me to practice my teaching skills. I also tutored younger students at my secondary, and have experience as a teaching assistant.

Thanks to all of these experiences, I am familiar with multiple exam boards and believe myself to be a good communicator with my students. My lessons are based on the specification, but after a few initial sessions with my pupils I make adjustments to cater to their abilities so that we can refine what they already know and strengthen the areas that they need more help with. I believe in using feedback-based learning and using lots of practice questions and papers to challenge my students.

I have access to many resources that my students can use both in lessons and in their free time, and I am more than happy to set homework if they would like to hone their skills between our sessions!

I hope to build a close, trusting relationship with my pupils so that they can be honest about what challenges them, which only helps me design lessons that are better suited to their needs. There is no need to be shy, I am open to feedback and will always take it into account when planning my lessons, whether they feel that a topic is too easy and they need more challenging questions, or if they feel they need to slow down and cover a topic for longer.
