All lessons are informal, conversation-style lessons with some aspects of curriculum to them to provide the basis of the lesson. Being able to speak in Spanish within the lessons not only improves your conversational Spanish speaking but also your confidence.
Having used AQA for my own GCSE's, this is the exam board I will likely take inspiration from. This means that I can effectively give students advice on what to expect from their GCSE in Spanish.
Having worked with children before, I understand that it takes time for students to get to grips with certain topics so I am willing to spend as much time working on topics of need to make sure students feel positive that they understand what is in front of them. If one method of explanation doesn't make sense, I'll try another until it makes sense. I will never give up on a topic just because a student doesn't understand it in a certain way.
I will strive to use the most interactive methods of teaching to make sure that students are engaging with the lessons as well as being proactive. The main aim of interactive teaching, for me, is to make sure students have the confidence to ask for help when they need it and they feel they can explain it to me as well. I find that when students can explain the topic to another person it means they have fully understood what has been taught.
