Hi,

Because I strongly believe in a "doing" approach to learning, my classes consist of a combination of interactive grammar learning exercises as well as conversation practice between myself and the student. I like to help my students learn about British culture in our classes by using an archive of audio clips, videos and pieces of literature such as contemporary news clips or selected writing from British literary classics. All of this is personally tailored to the student's level of English and supports the student in their English learning.

I tailor each class to each student's needs and their specific learning type. I believe that, in order for a student to completely excel in their language learning, they must feel comfortable in their class. I like my students to feel safe to make mistakes, so then we can learn from them.

I am experienced in both one-on-one teaching as well as the facilitation of group workshops.

I am currently studying a degree of 'Languages and Cultures' at SOAS, University of London. Here I learn about the role of language in society while also learning the language Hindi. In the past, I have also studied Latin, Ancient Greek, Spanish and French to a basic level. I was graded A* in both my English Language studies and English Literature studies. All of this learning has supported me in developing fun and effective language learning skills.

I am enthusiastic about language learning and my goal is to inspire my students to feel the same.
