Taisia Aksenenko

Hi! I’m Taisia, a mathematics student at the University of York. While obviously, I don’t think everyone should study mathematics, I do believe that not enough people give the subject a real chance because of the stigma surrounding it. It is a personal goal of mine to change that, at least on a smaller scale.

In my lessons, I strive to communicate my love for mathematics to my students. I make sure that the content is clear, and that the concepts are all understood. Further I adapt my lessons to suit the student’s needs and preferred learning method. Depending on the age, ability and target goals, I structure the lessons to maximise the learning and achievement of objectives, whether that be working on assignments, preparing exams such as 11+, GCSE and A-levels, or simply just wanting to push one’s mathematics knowledge beyond what is required in the syllabus.

I have been tutoring mathematics at a GCSE and A-level standard for the last couple of years and it has been incredibly rewarding to see my students have all their efforts pay off.
