I currently tutor KS2 children for their English and Maths SATs

Maths typically starts with marking the homework whilst the student completes a timetable rockstar sheet in the meantime
Then we discuss the topic decided the previous week and I present questions on a whiteboard to test their confidence
Then I teach them the method - giving them an option to see which method they prefer

We complete exam questions together
We agree on homework due for next week

English begins with a spelling test based off the words set as homework and new words are added to test knowledge
Then we recap grammar terms from folder notes
Practice exam questions and worksheets if targeted practice is needed
Do a quiz to recap terms using a whiteboard
