Completed GCE O and A levels with excellent grades that led to a full scholarship at New York University Abu Dhabi. Currently in last semester of an undergraduate degree in Mathematics. Started by tutoring grade 6 students. Taught as a teacher to grade 8, 9 and 10 students. Tutored undergraduate students in college. I teach online one-on-one lessons using any convenient platform like Zoom. Use an iPad and screen sharing to make the lesson feel like one being taught on a whiteboard in class. Start by understanding the syllabus or the content that the student wants to cover to achieve the goal that they want to achieve. Then design lessons according to the needs of the student. The lessons consist of me explaining the concepts to the student, then working with students to solve a few problems together to get experience of what the problem solving process looks like, and potentially designing and giving the student homework to help them get confident with the concept and gain practice to solve questions within time constraints. Can vary the depth into which we go for a particular concept according to the needs of the student. Also willing to provide online resources to the student if they want to self-study to gain further mastery of the content on speed up the learning process. Lessons are very flexible, and designed to wrap around the needs of the student. Lesson environment is very interactive and friendly like a mentor-mentee or a peer tutoring session.
