My qualification includes a master degree in English Language Teaching (ELT) from London Metropolitan University, United Kingdom, and I also gained TEFL Certification (TEF) from TEFL Academy, United Kingdom. I also have bachelor degree B.Ed with English as a functional subject. The combination of these qualifications has equipped me with strong foundation in English language pedagogy and literature. Working as an EFL teacher in the diverse culture of United Kingdom, I successfully taught English as a foreign language to multicultural groups professing different nationalities as per their unique requirements and need assessment.
My five years practical experience centres round using communicative language approach which necessitates task-based learning, practical use of language with active participation of the students and integrating technology and multimedia resources to make the language learning process interactive and immersive aiming at enhancing the students’ ability to acquire the language instead of cramming and memorising the vocabulary and sentences. I believe that the students need to be exposed to the real learning environment instead of making them suffered with too much academic workload.
