Originally from Colombia, I have a diverse background in supporting people learning English as a second language.
For several years, I’ve been actively involved in guiding university students, particularly those completing their final internships in veterinary sciences. My role was to not only provide academic support but also to help them navigate the practical challenges of their careers as they transitioned from study to professional practice.
In addition to this, I have dedicated around two years to helping English speakers improve their conversational Spanish. I worked at a wildlife rehabilitation center, where I conducted interactive language sessions for staff and volunteers. These included dynamic exercises, conversations related to real-life scenarios, and the integration of music as a learning tool. Music, in particular, played a key role in making the lessons engaging and memorable, as it helped bridge the gap between vocabulary learning and cultural immersion.
On a more personal level, I have also helped my husband, who is an English speaker, enhance his Spanish language skills. Through consistent practice and vocabulary-building activities, I have supported him in becoming more confident and fluent in his communication. Overall, my approach combines a passion for teaching with creativity and adaptability.
