What are the lessons like?
Each session is tailored to you. I begin with a short conversation to understand your goals and interests, whether you’re looking to build technical skills, experiment with new materials, or prepare a strong portfolio.
Lessons can include:
• Drawing and painting techniques (colour, composition, proportion, etc.)
• Developing personal projects and sketchbooks
• Researching artists and ideas to strengthen your work conceptually
• Advice on refining your portfolio for Art Foundation or university applications
• Support with interview preparation and written statements
I often share resources, mini-exercises, and prompts between sessions to keep the momentum going. Lessons are informal but structured, combining technical guidance with space to explore your ideas. I also love encouraging students to find their voice and push their practice further.
I’ve taught students from GCSE and A-Level to adult beginners, and I adapt my teaching style to suit each individual, whether you're looking for confidence, creativity, or constructive critique.
