I have tutored and taught German and English for nearly 40 years. I studied at the University of Hamburg during my junior year in college, then lived in Berlin, Germany, for eight years and Munich, Germany, for 9. I speak nearly flawless German with a flawless accent - Germans often believe that I am a native speaker. As for English, I have much experience teaching that to students of all ages from all over Europe.

In addition to my expertise in both languages, I believe firmly that my students must enjoy classes - if it is not fun, why do it? I employ all the senses in my classes and tailor them to individual students' interests, professions, and most comfortable methods of learning. We will read great literature, listen to music, watch movies and/or shows, eat food, talk about holidays and culture . . . and you will actually learn to speak and grow to master everyday situations.

I know how to help language learners make unfamiliar sounds, assisting them in speaking with excellent pronunciation, and I firmly believe that everyone can learn a new language . Not everyone learns at the same pace or in the same way, and I possess an adept knack for determining how each student can best progress.
