I am experienced as a teacher and professional journalism, with experience teaching a host of classes ranging from English to photography to debating to maths, in the US, Canada, and Ireland.
I became mostly fluent in Spanish after years of classes and immersion experiences, living and working in Colombia and Spain. I learned my favorite ways to both learn and teach a language include a introducing a set of vocabulary, and practicing using them through games, short quizzes, and then integrating the vocabulary into stress free conversation. I'm also adept at working on editing professional writing. I received a master's degree in journalism from Columbia University in New York, and am skilled at assessing writing and giving pointers and feedback for which skills to work on. I am happy to introduce colloquial phrases, while using consistency and repetition to employ new language skills.
