My lessons are catered to the student, I make sure that the learning style matches how my student takes in information in a way that most schools cannot do due to the lack of time or staff. I make sure to communicate with my students each lesson and take their input into mind when making the next lesson plan. Depending on the student I will design a session where they can study in the most effective way for themselves, meaning writing, reading, flash cards, listening or speaking work. I also create worksheets and my own study cards that come free with the lesson. Each lesson is personalised so that my students feel heard and understood making their study time something that they do not have to worry about. I also have experience tutoring students with dyslexia and processing issues in which cases I have again altered my tutoring styles to what they feel would be most helpful. I have many tips and tricks for my students to pick up along the way that make studying easier. I understand how schools teaching styles can make students feel left out and mis understood that is why I try my best to make my students feel like they have someone who is on their side while studying and there to help rather than just give out information. Studying shouldn’t be something a student wants to avoid so I find it very important to make lessons interesting and active rather than simply sitting and writing line after line.
