Currently working as Head of Computer Science & IT, teaching KS3 to KS5 Computer Science along with BTEC RQF Level 3. KS5 is my biggest strength in teaching and I’m familiar with most exam boards specifications. I am an active examiner for OCR, LEAD IV FOR BTEC and SV FOR EXTERNAL MODERATION. Having nearly a decades experience of teaching, makes me pretty confident in achieving the results. I have had all students getting C+ grades. I am very keen and passionate about keeping up with the latest industry trends/debates, I have participated in several conferences about AI, Big Data, IoT, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing and Infrastructure, AR and VR etc., allowing me to interact and network with cyber defence market leaders like DarkTrace. These conferences have given me a context as to why cybersecurity is fundamental in today’s IT infrastructure.
Recently, I have observed that more and more companies are exploring the possibilities of how Business Intelligence tools such as Data Virtualization and Manipulations can assist in making strategic decisions. At present, I am reading into Microsoft Power BI and how such applications can utilise Big Data and help businesses visualise their data as graphical representations to forecast market patterns. By understanding how computing devices and products are used and studying the ways usage changes over time, I have gained a critical awareness of the processes by which interactive products gain popularity and become successful. For the future, I have aspirations to undertake a PhD in Information Systems and Computing.
