In my lessons, I aim to make A-Level Biology engaging, structured, and easy to understand. My teaching approach blends interactive explanations, real-world applications, and active learning techniques to ensure students grasp key biological concepts effectively.

Lesson Format:

* Active Learning – I encourage students to think critically through problem-solving tasks, discussions, and questions that test their understanding.
* Visual Aids & Diagrams – I use clear PowerPoint slides and diagrams to illustrate biological processes.
* Exam-Focused Strategies – I guide students on how to approach exam questions, structure answers effectively, and avoid common mistakes.
* Practice & Feedback – Each lesson includes practice questions, quizzes, or past paper exercises, followed by personalised feedback.

My Teaching Experience:

I have extensive teaching experience across A-Level and university-level biology. As an A-Level Biology Assessment Specialist, I mark exam papers and ensure alignment with the syllabus, giving me deep insight into exam techniques and common student challenges. At the University of Manchester, I assist in teaching cancer biology, practical labs, and workshops, supporting students in understanding complex biological concepts. Previously, as a Student Demonstrator at the University of Liverpool, I guided undergraduates in molecular biology techniques, including micropipetting, gel electrophoresis, bacterial transformation, and bioinformatics tools. Additionally, as a Writing Tutor, I helped students improve their scientific writing, critical thinking, and exam preparation strategies. I am also an AFHEA-certified educator, committed to interactive and evidence-based teaching.
