Using face time, zoom or skype we will work through recipes to create delicious food. What ever the student wants to learn. From baking simple cakes to presenting a three course dinner. Dishes from around the world.
Along the way we will learn about our ingredients. About food technology and catering theory. How ingredients are produced, there origins and how best to use and store them.
We will go through basic food hygiene and safe methods of working.
We will create comprehensive recipes as we work through the lesson. We will always work at the correct pace and re iterate any thing that needs more explanation.
I have worked as a chef for over 35 years. I have taught in industry, in a college setting and I have taught people in their homes.
I like to have a relaxed but professional approach and make each lesson fun , informative and ultimately delicious.
Upon deciding what the student wants to learn, I will send an ingredient and quantity list as well as a list of equipment that will be needed during the lesson.
At the beginning of the lesson we will spend time going through exactly what we will be doing and what we wish to achieve at the end.
I am happy to teach a one off tutorial or put together a program whereby a subject can be learned in more depth and to greater proficiency such as Pasta, baking, preparing and cooking fish, preparing and cooking meat, vegetarian cooking or plant based cooking, desserts and presentation.
