Have you ever had a lesson with someone who has turned something exciting to learn about into something incredibly dull? Or, someone who has made learning something boring, actually fun? Well, I can confidently say that whether the content is interesting to you, or not, your lessons with me will be exciting, interactive and supportive!
Growing up in a foster home, I've had the privilege of being a supportive older sister figure to many children and young people, an experience that has taught me the importance of creating engaging and nurturing learning environments. During lockdown, I took it upon myself to homeschool the younger children in my family's care, and nothing was more fulfilling than seeing them thrive academically and enjoy the learning process.
As someone who has also worked as a community carer for adults while pursuing my degree in Law, I understand the importance of patience, empathy, and adaptability in teaching. My diverse background has equipped me with transferable skills such as organisation, adaptability, and problem-solving, which I will leverage to create tailored lesson plans that cater to the individual needs and learning styles of my students.
In addition to utilising technology to make lessons interactive and enjoyable, I am committed to taking into consideration the best learning approach for each student. Whether it's visual, auditory, or kinesthetic learning, I will adapt my teaching methods to ensure that every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
In summary, my experiences have shaped my approach to teaching, and I am dedicated to making learning a rewarding and enjoyable experience for my students.
