I am a fully qualified teacher of English as a foreign language and have taught English as a second language in many countries with The British Council, CFBT and international colleges for over 20 years. I am a specialist in IELTS preparation, being an ex-examiner and have taught Business English and general English at all levels over the years. Recently I have taught 1 to 1 online classes for the last 2 years.
I like to find out the needs and interest and cultural background of my students so I can adapt the lessons to reflect this. I use a task-based learning style which incorporates all the key skills of learning English, reading writing, listening and speaking in order for the learner to achieve the task. I also combine this with input and exercises on pronunciation, vocab and grammar. I make my lessons fun and entertaining and use a variety of materials such as worksheets, course books, videos, songs and games.
