About me

I have taught English Language and Literature and TESOL, at a range of levels, to Secondary School native English speakers and undergrad/post-grad international students. I began teaching English in 1971 and was a Head of Department in several Secondary Schools in Sheffield for over 25 years. Ialso taught English in Dubai and Yemen, delivering the local Ministry of Education and International GCS...
I have taught English Language and Literature and TESOL, at a range of levels, to Secondary School native English speakers and undergrad/post-grad international students. I began teaching English in 1971 and was a Head of Department in several Secondary Schools in Sheffield for over 25 years. Ialso taught English in Dubai and Yemen, delivering the local Ministry of Education and International GCSE courses.

I work with the students to establish what level they are at to begin with, then use a variety of resources to encourage their participation in oral and written work. I like to build a positive relationship with my students by offering them choices of activity to reach the level of English that they need.
