Always willing to engage in wider discussions of the role of biology and science in general on the development of societal norms and the way that scientific advances have shaped the modern world. Have a wealth of experience having taught n both the Scottish education system, where I trained and the English system. I have worked in a wide range of educational establishments including secondary schools, FE colleges , special schools, intensive revision tutorial colleges, industrial settings and no school based education situations. I have also worked as a tutor both in person and have had extensive experience of working on line and in virtual environments.
It is always a new challenge meeting and getting to know new tutees, learning what their needs and requirements are and adapting materials and approach to address their specific needs. I am vey aware that each tutee is an individual with individual needs and aims and it is encumbant on me as their tutor to identify these needs and aims and to endeavour to address them fully I think the context of the specific curriculum. I believe that the depth and breadth of my experience gives me an insight into the variety of approaches available and the ability toidentify the detailed approach best suited to each individual tutee. One size rarely if ver fits all and this is particularly true of approaches to education and the needs of the individual tutee.
