My objective is that you enjoy my lessons and that they are useful in helping you achieve your language goals. I like to use conversation as much as possible, because I feel this is the main reason why people learn a language - to speak.

My classes are practical and I use current materials in order to discuss the world and society in which we live. I use listening and video exercises to stimulate further conversation, but also to highlight grammar and vocabulary, or to show differences in accents and pronunciation.

I like to give students variety, which means mixing the elements of language learning to provide a more dynamic experience. Whatever you feel is your main reason for wanting to learn, I will try my best to provide it in an interesting way. Perhaps you want to prepare for an exam, or an interview. I can help. Perhaps you want to improve reading comprehension, or pick up some new phrasal verbs. We can do all of these, and much more, depending on what you really need.

I have been teaching since 2006. I worked in South Korea and I lived and worked as a teacher in Madrid for twelve years. I understand how difficult and frustrating it can be to learn a new language. My experience gives me the skills and understanding that allow me to help students to feel better about their abilities, and to motivate them to improve.
