Lessons
The first lesson will be a review of your specific course content and a discussion about areas that you feel you need support on. We will review these areas together so that I can better understand what the challenges are. I will ask you how best you learn - be it visual, conceptual, via prompts and cue cards, testing or explaining back. I can then tailor the lesson towards your specific learning style.

I will then prepare a series of lesson plans to address each topic, which will involve reviewing the previous topics to confirm your understanding and answer any further questions you may have, tackling a new topic during which I will explain the concept, working through some questions together, then I will set a few questions for you to reflect on between each lesson to reinforce your understanding. This is designed to ensure that you have understood the concept both in lesson and moving forward, and allows you the opportunity to come back and celebrate your success or ask for more help.

My Experience
My previous tutoring experience includes tutoring locally to support an individual to prepare for her maths GCSE. I spent a year as a lecturer supporting first-year university students in tutorials to tackle core concepts in organic chemistry. In my professional career I have been in charge of training new (and old) members of staff on concepts relating to their roles to support the growth of the company. Supporting others to understand and learn provides me with great satisfaction, I hope that my students feel accomplished and supported when I work with them.
