Having qualified in central london as a secondary school teacher of modern foreign languages, I have developed a multitude of transferable skills and knowledge which will enable me to be an effective and successful private language tutor.

My experience of teaching a wide range of ages and abilities has given me the opportunity to plan and deliver lessons to students of all ages, needs and abilities. I have learnt to adapt to the needs of certain students, all whilst stretching and challenging others.

My training in East London put me up against many challenges in term of behaviour management and lack of student engagement in language learning, however, this experience has helped to shape me into the strong, successful and passionate teacher I am today. I have changed students perceptions on learning a foreign language by teaching languages in a fun, stimulating and engaging manner, and hope to continue to do so through tutoring others who seek to improve their proficiency in another language.

I hope to motivate others to learn another language by teaching in a fun, engaging and supportive environment. I am able to adapt my teaching style to suit the needs of all individuals, and would consider how I deliver my tutoring lessons depending on whether my tutee(s) is/are visual, kinaesthetic or auditory learners.

Often, languages are overlooked and taken for granted. Without them, we would not be able to communicate with others around the world and many jobs and opportunities now require us to be able to speak or understand another language!
