I have taught History since 2007 in A Level, GCSE, KS3 and the IBDP with excellent exam results. I am an examiner for the International Baccalaureate and for GCSE and so I am very familiar with how to get the best grades. With a Distinction in my Masters degree from LSE, I know what top research and essay writing should look like for extended essays and coursework. I believe every student has excellent potential and every lesson will be tailored to your needs to ensure you can flourish and enjoy your learning too!

I will focus on what your specific goals are, whether that is building essay writing skills, working under timed conditions, how to learn content for the exam, or source analysis. The feedback I give you will always be developmental, focusing specifically on what you are doing well, so that you know to keep doing it and to stay motivated, but also specific ways in which you can improve, as well as techniques you can apply to evaluate the quality of your own work. I am very patient and approachable. With my long experience of teaching, I will ensure you have a variety of different interactive yet effective learning methods so that you don't get bored. Motivation and persistence are key to doing well.

Your first lesson is free and I will use this to find out what your goals are, what you are like as a learner and to give you a little taste as to the types of lessons I would design based on your goals and personal learning needs.
