Steph Penney

Steph is an experienced tutor and teacher. She has worked as a classroom teacher of science for the past six years, with the last two as Head of Science in a large secondary school. Steph is passionate about engaging students with science, supporting their progress and making them better scientists as a result of her interventions. Steph is well qualified with master's degrees in both chemistry and educational practice and she takes her commitment to her own learning and professionalism seriously as a full member of both the Institute of Physics and the Royal Society of Chemistry. Steph has presented to conferences on her early career work and represented both organisations at large scale events. Steph has developed science curricular for several schools now and has an excellent understanding of how students learn and the pedagogy of science education which she applies to all her sessions.
