Hi, I’m Stella, a Italian/English bilingual third year university student.
I’ve been tutoring in Italy for the past five years kids and adults of all ages and competences, with different goals. I’ve reviewed grammar with them, helped them improve their reading/ writing/ speaking and listening skills and I take a lot of pride and joy in doing so.
I love teaching and feeling like you’ve given someone a little help or a confidence boost in their abilities, and empowering them to feel more secure in their skills and themselves.
I’ve always adapted my teaching methods to the target student, from learning while playing with smaller children, to using themes and topics that attract the attention of teens and adults trying to learn a language.
I also have great proficiency and knowledge of the Italian language as I was born and raised there and lived there up until two years ago. I’ve always loved the Italian language and literature and would love to help out anyone who wanted to learn more about it, whether to improve for school or uni or just for personal enjoyment.
I’m very dedicated and determined and I will try many methods and teaching strategies until I find your perfect fit, be it more theory and grammar/explanation heavy or more exercise and practice based, more academic or more adapted to real world scenarios, together we will find what teaching technique works best for you.
