Stefano Nicotra

My passion for mathematics, born in adolescence, led me on a journey across regions, countries, and continents. This path culminated in a PhD in Pure Mathematics from the University of Liverpool and a career as a secondary school maths teacher in Bristol. In this role, I’ve had the privilege of supporting the academic and personal development of students aged 11 to 17 from diverse cultural backgrounds and abilities. My teaching approach places students at the heart of learning. I firmly believe that, with patience and dedication, anyone can acquire the skills needed not just for exams but for life. Exams, far from being obstacles, can be milestones in personal and academic growth. With my method, students feel welcomed, supported, and encouraged to see mathematics not as a difficulty but as a tool to understand the world, unlock their potential, and overcome challenges with confidence.
