I have taught Chemistry to the GCSE level for 24 years and to the A' Level for 16 years. I have been an Online Tutor for the past 3 years.
I enjoy the subject that I teach, Chemistry. I enjoy the art of teaching. There is joy in breaking down complex topics into simple steps for greater understanding. I also enjoy the students that I work with. It fills me with joy when I see their faces light up with delight when they grasp a concept. For me, there is no better job than to do something you enjoy.

In terms of my lessons, it is entirely student-centered. I allow the students to choose the format and the pace, according to their needs. They have the option of following the GCSE syllabus, to cover all the topics in time for their exams. Alternatively, they can use the class sessions to focus only on their weak areas. So they will inform me beforehand, what topic they would like to discuss and I will prepare worksheets, PowerPoint presentations, and videos with them in mind.
If they so desire, ( I strongly encourage this), we also work on past GCSE exam papers together. I give progress tests, which then enables me to also give regular and timely updates to their parents about their progress.

Students feel very comfortable with me. We usually develop a good rapport. They can contact me outside of class if they have questions related to their schoolwork, and I will get back to them at the earliest opportunity.
