I have dedicated my career to education. I love learning and seek to continually pass my enthusiasm for learning to others. I have over 20 years of teaching experience both in the UK and overseas. I have taught at some of the most academic schools around the world. I set high standards, but am very patient and I ensure my lessons are paced so the student is comfortable and feels as though they can ask questions and explore the subject in a manner which is conducive to their learning.
My subjects are History and Politics, however, I have taught English as an Additional Language too. I've taught IB, A Levels, GCSE, IGCSE and KS3. I'm familiar with most British exam boards.
I'm happy to work at any level, wherever the student is on their journey is where we'll start. I try and make my lessons as interactive as possible. I'm very organised and I like to plan lessons in advance. A typical format would be half a lesson of taught content and the other half of the lesson going through past papers, questions etc to refine technique. I usually give an additional resources page for students to watch video clips, listen to podcasts, do extra reading etc, if they want to go beyond what they have learnt in the tutorial session.
I hope this helps give a sense as to who I am and what a tutoring session with me may be like, but please, any questions don't hesitate to get in touch.
Kind regards,
Stacey
