I like to start a subject with a brainstorming session where my students and I discuss the relevance of materials to day-to-day life. I like to do this because sometimes, teachers are so caught up in the materials to be delivered it becomes irrelevant to the students. This irrelevancy will disinterest students from learning. Once I have their attention and understanding of why we should learn these materials, I can start teaching. I usually use power points, videos, and case studies as delivery tools.
I have always been passionate about teaching and my career has been built up revolving around education. And therefore, I became a Biology lecturer in 2017 up until 2022 when I moved to the UK to pursue my PhD in Microbiology.
