I have completed my BA in Music in Goldsmiths and I am currently working towards a Master in Ethnomusiclogy. I am a performer of folk music (mainly Greek folk) for over a decade as a singer and Guitarist with various bands both in Greece and in London with which I have participated to a number of festivals in England and abroad.

I will teach you the basics of music theory. We will go through rhythm, melody and harmony in theory and practice and acquire skill that are transferable in guitar, piano and Ukulele. By the end of the lessons you will be able to sing and play confidently most of your favorite songs and even try to improvise and making up songs of your own.

In my lessons I always try to minimize the theory and proceed to the actual music making as soon as possible explaining the crucial and important theoretical concepts through actual playing.
This way you as a learner get the chance to discover yourself where theory is actually needed on your music making and personalizing it in a way that suits your exact needs.

In my lessons you will be taught the most common rhythms, the Major and Minor modes in order to be able to use them to create melodies and the basics of functional harmony, base and triads so you can add more layers in your play.
