At the beginning, it would be to find where the student is in terms of the skill. With artistic skills the best approach is always general to specific. Start with the basics and then build upon that as we go! For linguistic learning the best place to start is creating a foundation of basics with the language before building upon that to further understanding and skill. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Arts from the University of Lethbridge in Canada. There I gained lots of experience in drawing, painting (oils and acrylics), printmaking, sculpture, and installation works. I took my schooling from grades 6 to 12 in a French Immersion program. I took Japanese at an International Baccalaureate level in high school as well as two years in university. I have travelled to Japan twice, in high school for two weeks and university for a month. I have twelve years of work experience at Costco Wholesale Canada with 5 years of that being in electronic sales where I often had to teach and explain the products to people who are not electronics-inclined. Currently attending the University of Portsmouth in an MA Architecture.
