Hi, I’m Sophie! I studied English Literature at Durham University, achieving a first class honours degree. Currently, I am completing an MA in English Literature at the University of Bristol. I have two years of tutoring experience, and I have supported students aged 7-18 years of age. I love the power of storytelling, language and being able to teach students how to get the most out of this subject. I am friendly, patient and focused on my students’ individual needs, goals and learning styles. I understand that different students will have different goals; I have a range of experience helping those who want to improve their GCSE or A Level English grade, to those looking to improve their confidence and experience of English more generally. The first session will start with a chat about what you want to get out of English tutoring, followed by some short literary tasks.
