I have been tutoring KS3 and GCSE Maths, Biology and Chemistry for 3 years. I deliver fun and interactive sessions that are structured around topics the student may find challenging. I aim to improve the student's confidence and knowledge in the subject in a safe and comfortable environment.
I like to find engaging resources to help make the lessons more interactive. I like to adapt my lessons to the individual student, and I enjoy finding new ways to explain concepts to students,in order to try and help improve their understanding of the subject. I have found that this can help motivate the student, making them more engaged in the lesson, and ultimately the subject.
I am friendly and patient, and I try to make the lessons feel like a safe space for students, so that they feel comfortable to ask questions and make mistakes. I am always happy to answer any questions, no matter how silly it may seem! I am reliable and my lessons are well organised.
In my lessons I like to use resources that will help prepare students for any exams. In order to do this, I like to use exam questions in my lessons. This can help to test the student's understanding of the subject, and helps work out other area that we can focus on.
I am passionate about helping students discover the best way to study for them. I encourage methods like active recall and spaced repetition, which I have found to be really effective when studying.
