I received an A in National 5 Biology in 2014 and a B in Scottish Higher Biology in 2015. I graduated with a first-class BSc (Hons) in Applied Pharmacology in 2019. For the last 4 plus years I have worked in Clinical Research within Project Management.

I can analyse and assess relevant scientific and technical language as at university I would need to read scientific journals and critically analyse them. This taught me how to communicate complex information within written work and presentations in a concise and simplified way. This was a key skill that I continue to use in my career.
For my honours project in 4th year, I ran a small trial to determine the cognitive effects of caffeine on the brain in a healthy, adult population. For this I had to create a hypothesis, recruit study subjects, dose subjects with either placebo or caffeine, document and analyse the results and then critically analyse the findings against existing studies. This was valuable experience for me as it taught me how to design and conduct a research investigation and experiment.
I am often praised for my excellent team working skills and described as hardworking, empathetic and friendly. My outgoing and bubbly personality allows me to build positive, long-lasting professional relationships. I have always taken pride in my excellent organizational and time management skills.
