Sophie Hawkins

First class degree in Fine Art & Art History from University of Sunderland.

Graduating with a Masters Degree in Contemporary Fine Art 2022 from Manchester Metropolitan University.

Over 3 Years experience as a teaching Assistant, in a SENCO department with specialist knowledge for individual needs and abilities.

Experience as a Painting Teacher in New York,USA at a prestigious Fine Arts Facility in Long Lake. Collaborating with other departments such as, textiles, printmaking and sculpture to create 3 large scale pop up exhibitions and murals.

With specialist knowledge and skills in both drawing and painting, in my one-to-one sessions I would offer both practical and academic applications of the arts. Teaching from my own style using simple step by step of how to build an artwork from scratch. I would draw attention to perspective, composition and depth. Using examples from my own projects, exhibitions and portfolio to help the individual express themselves and navigate their own artistic voice. Something I enjoy helping others achieve, a sense of identity, individualiam and a certain level of originality.
