Sophie Godarzi

I'm a recent UC Berkeley Graduate with a Bachelor's in Global Studies and minor in Journalism. I am a qualified writer; publishing articles on music reviews, travel, and food in the local Berkeley community. I have studied under Pulitzer Prize winning journalists as well as Professors studying at Harvard, Columbia, and the likes. My university experience was reading and writing intense at a high academic level so I am more than qualified to help you in any way possible. I have English as a Second Language qualifications such as Teaching English as a Foreign Language and Teaching English as a Second Language as well.

Classes can vary based on your needs and what level you're starting at. We'll be using a range of materials from news articles, podcasts, and interactive pamphlets/power points. We can go over basic vocabulary, introductions, day to day speech, and more. I am patient, kind, and want to help you succeed at reaching your English learning goals! I've taught at various age groups, so if you're five years or fifty-five years old, don't hesitate to reach out.

While messaging you can tell me what you want to work on as a student and I can accommodate you in any way possible. I am quite flexible in terms of time so I'll most likely be able to accommodate you. If there are certain topics you want to cover, we'll do it!
