I used to work at Kumon where I tutored children from ages 5-13 years old and I was a private tutor to a GCSE student who achieved a 7 in GCSE maths. I am currently helping a 10 year old prepare for her SATs exams.

The format of my lessons are very flexible and will be tailored to the needs of the child. I start by helping them with topics that they find the most challenging first, and then move on to papers and extended learning when I feel they are ready.

My lessons tend to be relaxed (of varying degrees depending on the child and what works best for them) and I like to build a good rapport with my students as I feel this is the key to ensuring that they remain engaged throughout the lesson. I am just freshly out of secondary school so I do understand the stressful nature of being a student and I hope to connect with my students and make them realise how fun maths can be!
